Are you in search of affiliate programs for beginners? Or are you a slightly more experienced blogger who is interested in finding some great affiliate programs? Either way, you’re in the right place. Especially if you’re a home decor blogger.

Before I share the programs for beginners, I wanted to offer a couple of tips about using as part of your blog monetisation strategy.

Tips Before You Join Any Affiliate Marketing Programs For Beginners

Why Choose Affiliate Marketing?

It’s FREE! Signing up as an affiliate should never cost any money. The only expense you should have is starting your blog or taking a course/ebook that you want to become an affiliate for.

If you need to start a blog, check out this tutorial to help you start a blog the easiest way possible. There is also no risk to you, and a lot of people start making money from their affiliate marketing efforts quite quickly.

There is an insanely popular ebook E-book that I HIGHLY recommend; it’s called How to Make your First Affiliate Sale in 24hrs. The reason it’s so popular? Truthfully, there is an affiliate program, BUT I would never recommend something I didn’t believe in.

The advice and strategies laid out in Elise’s e-book are tried and tested. By many bloggers. The strategies are so simple to follow. If you follow the advice and tutorials in the book, you will be at a significant advantage compared to other affiliate beginners! Grab your copy Here.

Create Valuable Content

The path to generating is through your audience. To build your audience and to build trust with your audience, you should consistently be delivering content that is packed full of valuable information that solves a problem for your readers.

Posts like that are what first attracts an audience, compels them to return to your blog, and establishes a level of trust that helps your readers feel more inclined to click on your affiliate link or listen to what you’re recommending.

Don’t Just Share Affiliate Links On Your Blog

Promote your affiliate blog posts everywhere. If you have the time for a lot of quality traffic generation, you have the chance to invite your potential audience to your blog.
Hopefully, your content will be your hook, and they will return for even more information regularly.

It’s a good idea to get people on to your email newsletter list so that you can promote future posts via your newsletters. Some affiliate companies also allow you to use affiliate links in newsletters.

Before you join any affiliate marketing programs for beginners and start adding links;

Get Familiar With Disclosures and Make Sure You ALWAYS Disclose

Adding a disclosure to your blog is the law. You need to disclose. Whether you’re sharing affiliate links in newsletters, blog posts or social media posts, they must all be marked as affiliate links.

Disclosing can also further assist you in winning the trust and support of your audience.

Disclosures must NOT be at the end of a blog post. They must be at the beginning. Which is why you see a lot of bloggers, including myself, create a little disclosure like this, with a page they can click to for more information.

To include the disclosure on every post the way that I have, I use a WordPress plugin called “Ad Inserter” which allows them to appear in every post. Before the affiliate links.

So, let your visitors know that if they click on an affiliate link that it makes your website money. Michael Hyatt has some great disclosures that comply with FTC guidelines.

My Favourite Affiliate Platform

To join any of these affiliate programs, you must first:
Have a ShareASale account. It’s free!
Have a blog – Here’s how to start a blog the easiest way possible + 60% discount on hosting.

Becoming an affiliate with a company like Shareasale is pretty easy. Even if you’re a beginner blogger, you’re likely to be approved. It’s also a great idea to help you monetise every single post from the beginning.

I LOVE Shareasale. Almost all of the affiliate programs that I’m part of (as HeartHandmadeUK) are on the Shareasale platform. Last year, I went from around £28 in affiliate income each month from Shareasale to four figures:

That’s all thanks to Making Sense Of Affiliate Marketing, and if you can afford it, I highly recommend that you take this course.
