Ready to learn what not to do if you want to make money online? Guaranteed, if you’re reading this, you are wondering what it is you are doing that means you won’t make money online. Like me, you’re probably tired of the same old shit you hear again and again. You may have probably heard the good and bad of every program out there.
I’ve been blogging since 2007, I’ve gone in circles and tried everything there is to make money when it comes to blogging.
The best way for any business to make money is TO come up with a business plan.
Grab your Bloggy Business Planner right now and start planning those products.
That includes promotions, product ideas, and everything else in between. So many bloggers really do FAIL to plan.

The Worst Ways To Make Money Online As A Blogger
Now, I’m going to cover a few pieces of advice that repeatedly show up on the internet as a way to make money but they’re actually a complete waste of time. This information is nothing new but I’m calling horse shit on almost all of them. The sad part is that they can leave you more broke than when you started.
In my opinion, if you are doing any of the things on this list from 2-7, then you are not an Entrepreneur. You’re trading your time for very little return. You aren’t even a freelancer really. The time spent on these tasks could be spent getting new clients or getting testimonials, doing tasks that will further your business.
1. Selling on Auction sites or Buying wholesale lists (Drop shipping)
Ok selling on auction sites can be a means to earn money, but it depends on what you’re selling. I wouldn’t start a business on it. If I need an income boost? Sure, I’ll sell things on eBay but other than that, nope.
If you own a brick and mortar store, it can be a way of increasing your revenue by having listings in different locations. That is different because you’ve already gone through the business planning phase.
If you’re a blogger who wants to make money online and are considering drop shipping, it’s usually a complete waste of time.
2. Can You Make Money Online Filling out Surveys?
Um yeah but very little for it to be worthwhile. Just don’t do it. I have previously recommended taking certain surveys but after testing it, I think has to be the biggest waste of time on the internet. There are so many sites promising you $10 here and $40 there to fill out a simple online survey but you rarely fit the requirements. The big payouts are usually for referrals and then it quickly becomes a little MLM-ey.
You can fill out a 2-hour survey about what brand of toothpaste you like. Only to get paid $2 at the end of a series of difficult questions. Waste of time.
3. Can You Make Money Online With Rebate Processors?
Eh. Is my answer. There are a few sites (that look very similar to the survey sites) that offer you a list of people to work for and promising you $15 a rebate.
Important note: this depends on the price of the rebate, the company you are issuing the rebate for and so on.
As far as I know, there is only one company that actually pays that (off the list they give you). Also, they are not currently recruiting. So, unless you want to spend $40 on a list and make $1 a rebate, then don’t waste your time.
4. Make Money Online As a Billing processor, medical billing specialist or transcriptionist?
Well, if you are keen on this one, ensure you search through a local business that you can actually speak to. Or you just might end up working for a dubious firm in Malaysia for 12 cents an hour.
5. Make Money Online By Getting Paid to Surf?
There are a plethora of websites out there promising you money to surf the net or read emails. That’s because they are trying to get you to sign up for their programs.
You get paid like 1 cent an email and a few cents a web page as long as you’re at the web page for at least 30 to 60 seconds. To me, that sounds like a total waste of time. Again, there are far more profitable things for you to be doing.
6. Getting a free website to sell other people’s things
This may make you a few bucks here and there. However, the amount it costs to advertise, and then the small % you get back in return isn’t really worth it. In Reality, you are making money for someone else who’s just paying you a small % of what they make. Also, there is so much competition in this market that you have to find an uncompetitive but profitable product.
7. Make Money Online Trading Currencies?
This is actually one of the best ways to make money online if you know what you are doing. Most people disregard FOREX because you have to spend time learning it. It is by no means a get rich quick scheme, but it is a get rich long-term scheme.
Currency trading (FOREX) market is the biggest and fastest growing market on earth. It has a daily turnover of more than 2.5 trillion dollars. The participants in this market are banks, organisations, investors and private individuals, just like you. BUT, if you can’t get your head around it, that’s no shame. I can’t.
Finally, You Know What Not To Do If You Want To Make Money Online!
I can’t speak for everyone, but I have extensively tested or know people that have tested, all the methods above and are calling out horse shit on them.
Budding bloggers who want to make money online don’t seem to realise that they are trading their time for tasks that are worth about 12 cents! I hate to see people waste their time because there are so many meaningless time-wasting ventures out there.
This article was written to share my experiences to help you stop wasting your damn time.
