After Pinterest’s algorithm update in 2018, Pinterest Followers are back to being significant. For years, Pinterest didn’t put any focus on the number of followers you had. I had never actively chased followers because the platform used to be very different.
At the beginning of Pinterest, where your smart feed is located, was the same feed for everyone.
So, if you Pinned something, your face showed up. That helped a lot of early Pinterest users gain a lot of followers quite quickly.
Bloggers were writing articles about ‘how you can get X amount of followers’ and Pinterest came out and told everyone that the number of followers you had didn’t really do anything for you. Now, they do.
How I got 3.9k new Pinterest Followers in 30 Days By Doing This One Thing
I’m a massive advocate for maintaining a consistent presence on Pinterest because it’s delivered excellent results for my traffic. Even after the algorithm change, I referred to, I still believe this. My disclaimer here is that this method is what has worked for me.
The account that I connected and the blog I used was already quite popular, with six-figure traffic numbers. None of us has the key to Pinterest’s algorithm, nor will we. Pinterest, like Google, enjoys keeping their cards close to the chest.
My proof is in my numbers and results.
I got almost four thousand new Pinterest followers in 30 days by only doing one thing. I’ve continued to follow my Pinterest strategy as I have been doing and that I share, warts and all in Pinning For Profits in 2018.
Follower Growth July 2018 = 2.9k
Follower Growth August 2018 = 3.9k
