Did you know that you could set up your pins to auto-publish to a certain board thanks to the new Pinterest RSS feature?! As soon as I saw the option appear I almost cried with excitement. I had hit the button before I remembered to take a screenshot but you can easily access the option via your settings.
To claim your RSS feed and set it up to auto publish the Pin image from the post to one particular board. For myself, I have set them up to all publish to the ‘Best of’ boards for my websites. BUT, you CAN add multiple RSS feed links to specific boards by creating RSS URL links for your blog categories (scroll down for the ‘how to’)
Auto Publish Your Pins Using The NEW Pinterest RSS Feature!
Go to your Pinterest profile > Settings > Claim
Navigate to your website and copy your RSS feed link, add it to the box and choose the board you want to publish your pins to.
It’s possible to add MORE than one RSS feed URL, so you can create RSS feeds for specific categories on your blog.
How To Create Separate RSS Feeds For Categories On Your Site
All you have to do is locate the URL of your blog category, which will appear in the URL bar when you open your website.
Then type feed/ after the last / of the address in the URL bar.
Here is an example from my site:
My regular URL looks like this – https://www.clarityavenue.co.uk/
So, the feed will look like – https://www.clarityavenue.co.uk/feed/
A category URL looks like this https://www.clarityavenue.co.uk/category/pinterest/
And now the feed URL will look like https://www.clarityavenue.co.uk/category/pinterest/feed
Now, go back to Pinterest and add your category feeds to specific boards, as we did previously. You don’t need to hit the save button or anything, it will do it all for you.
It really is that simple. Now, don’t forget to pin this post!
